TidyMess perform Daniel Balavoine’s songs in Bizanos on 7 March 2026
On at 9.00 pm, TidyMess performed songs by Daniel Balavoine at the Espace Daniel Balavoine in Bizanos, near Pau.
Forty years on
The evening was organised by the Compagnie Bizane, forty years after the artist’s passing - a singer as great musically as he was as a person, wrote the duo.
The concert where it all began
For TidyMess, this concert was unlike any other. It was in 2005, on stage near Pau, during a tribute show to Daniel Balavoine, that Nelly and Thomas met. Twenty-one years later, they returned to that repertoire - in a venue named after him, just a few kilometres away.
Without that show, TidyMess wouldn’t exist. The duo’s biography tells the rest of the story: the years of cover versions, then the move to writing their own material in 2016.
On stage
Nelly and Thomas were accompanied by Nathalie Biarnés on keyboards and Olivier Pelfigues on drums. The set list featured Balavoine’s greatest hits, along with a few lesser-known songs.
A one-off concert.
