Saturday 31 October: concert for Octobre Rose in Cescau

On Saturday 31 October, we’re playing at the Cescau village hall as part of Octobre Rose, France’s breast cancer awareness campaign. Do come along at 9 pm - entry is free. It is one of the two or three concerts we give for free each year.

Octobre Rose

Every year, the campaign encourages people to get screened for breast cancer. It’s mainly carried out through everyday activities: a poster, a walk, a meal, a concert. Local councils organise it, and Cescau is one of them.

Why we’re playing there

We play for free two or three times a year, for causes and charities close to our hearts. This isn’t a commercial gig: we choose these dates ourselves, and this is one of them.

The rest of the time, we’re a band that people book. It’s best to be upfront about it rather than leave the question hanging.

After Cescau, we’ll be meeting the public again at the Pau Christmas market, Place Clemenceau, on 5 December at 4.30 pm.
