Des armes live: the second clip from 23 March

Second clip from the concert on 23 March at the Espace James Chambaud in Lons: ‘Des armes’.

The song has a special history. It began as a poem by Léo Ferré, which Noir Désir set to music much later. This dual heritage gives it a rare depth – the lyrics never yield to the melody, and the melody does not seek to soften the lyrics.

Performing it live requires not overdoing anything. We’ve tried to stick to that.
